On May 25, 2023, the Society for Information Display (SID) announced the results of the People’s Choice Awards during Display Week. This year, the voting process was categorized based on the exhibiting companies’ technologies, including MicroLED, OLED, equipment, LCD, automotive, and other specific fields, intensifying the competition in the MicroLED category.
PlayNitride stood out among the participants and won three prestigious awards, establishing itself as one of the highlights of the event. Firstly, PlayNitride received the “Best Medium Booth Award” for its outstanding booth design. The booth featured a color scheme of red, blue, and green, creating an immersive artistic atmosphere that visually captivated and delighted the audience.
Secondly, PlayNitride showcased a remarkable 166-inch seamless MicroLED modular display, winning the “Best MicroLED-Based Technology Award.” This large-scale display boasted an impressive brightness of over 2000 nits, captivating the audience with its dazzling effect. Additionally, PlayNitride presented a 0.49-inch MicroLED micro-display with an astonishing pixel density of 4536PPI and high brightness, earning the “Best AR/VR/MR Demo/Product Award.” This display, accompanied by two different optical modules, allowed visitors to experience the effects of augmented reality glasses firsthand.
